Best iPod cases and covers – any suggestions?

Hey there guys. I’m looking to preorder on of these new iPads from Apple but i saw there are no cases available for them in the Apple store. Neither was i able to find anything good online, it seems that most big brands don’t offer such covers yet for this gadget.

Still, if i am to get my iPad by the middle of April i would like to have a case by then too. So, could you please recommend some good cases and also places where i can get then in US?

Cases made of aluminum, titanium and plastic are also available. The former are hard to touch and they are generally meant for people who are very active and may damage their iPod in the course of work. Plastic iPod cases are very thin. If the iPod case is of low quality, it could tear easily. So, go for the best case you can afford.

 

• Protection: Vinyl and leather look good but they only offer drop protection. Unless these iPod cases have a lining that protects the screen, they do not offer much in the way scratch protection. Aluminum and titanium offer excellent protection given the fact that they are hard. However, they may not be comfortable to carry. High quality plastic cases offer great protection.

 

• Fastening: Good protection depends on how the case is fastened. Even the best iPod case is useless if it does not latch properly. If the case has a clear window, operating the iPod becomes easy.

 

• Fit: Low quality iPod cases may not fit properly. If the fit is not right, the case cannot offer the same level of protection.

 

• Access: When choosing a case, make sure that the headphone jack, lock button and docking port can gain access without your having to remove the iPod case. If you have to remove the case every time you need to listen to music, your investment is a waste.

 

• Quality: A high quality iPod case is a necessity as it ensures that your iPod is kept safe and secure. In case of a bump on the wall or a fall, your iPod must not be wrecked. Choosing a high quality iPod case ensures that your iPod enjoys the best protection you can offer it.

Anyone use their iPod naked? without cases?

I am kinda getting sick of iPod cases. I’ve been through three.
One screwed up the look of my scroll wheel
I tried a second one…One of those film covers that began to stop sticking around the corners of the iPod
My third is pretty good, those rubber Evo3 skins. but they make my iPod bulky so I have to remove it when I am plugging it in to speakers.
also because the wheel is covered in rubber, it doesn’t work as well, because it is sorta streched a little bit.
I use my iPod on a daily basis for bus rides to and from school in town.
How is it like for unprotected iPods? Is it safe? are you extra careful? Are the scratches severe, etc.?

I don’t use any coverings. Mine is pretty scratched up though. But it still works just fine and that’s all that matters to me.
